A funnel or a marketing funnel is a visual representation of the different steps involved in making a sale. The funnel shape signifies the pouring order in which the activities (to make the sale happen) must be planned and executed. The top wide opening of the funnel indicates the section of creating awareness while the lower smaller opening points to making the transaction while the middle portion talks about engaging the leads generated.
