Passage Indexing, is a new Google Update that will roll out near the end of year 2020. A google crawlers usually crawls an entire page thus indexing the entire page, although a page content does include several passages, with heading, sub headings, questions, etc. With this new update of passage indexing, Google crawler might just index a specific passage from your website content showing the most appropriate answer a user’s search. This will be beneficial for queries having long tail keywords.
