Cost Acquisition

As the name suggests, acquisition costs refers to the total cost involved in acquiring or purchasing something like an asset. This includes the cost of testing, surveying and installation of the product, sales tax, cartridge or shipping cost, even the customs fees for overseas transfer or money exchange, interest in case of a loan or the preparation and traveling cost. Thus, the all-in cost to own a particular item.

e.g. The total cost incurred when a business buys another company’s asset or lands a new client or launches a new product or runs a campaign.
