Pixel

Pixels, short for Picture Elements, are tiny dots that make up an image on the display of any screen. The screen is a composition of thousands of pixels that are arranged in the form of a matrix. Individual pixels are usually not visible due to the tiny size, however, one can see them on a low-resolution display. Higher the no. of pixels, higher is the resolution of the screen and smaller the size of pixels better the quality (smoothness and clarity) of the picture on the screen.
